It will be an absolute pleasure to be invited to play at the Royal West of England Academy’s Spring After Hours event, around the fabulous artwork and with a potentially high ceiling.

The Fantasy Orchestra will be returning to the Yarlington Festival by popular demand. We’ll be getting festival-goers dancing with an eclectic set list, including numbers by Radiohead, Donna Summer, The Doors, Stevie Wonder and many more!

The Fantasy Orchestra will be resurrecting our Tropicalia set list and this time we’ll be lighting up the Curzon Cinema in Clevedon. Experience the influences and legacy of the fascinating late 60’s Tropicalia movement with music by Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Tom Zé, Jorge Ben and more.

Performing again at the fabulous Curzon Cinema in Clevedon, this time with an eclectic selection of music from films and tv shows.

The Fantasy Orchestra brings a vibrant musical celebration to Uley in memory of Richard Vernon, one of our founding members, who passed away suddenly four years ago. Richard was also a stalwart of Uley village life and provided expertise and energy in support of many local events.

Featuring wonderous harmonies and inspired arrangements of some of Richard’s favourite film soundtracks by Morricone, John Barry, RD Burman, and others, with rock & pop classics by The Beatles, Bowie and Hendrix and a number of rare to psychedelic treasures. All set in the wonderful Cotswold countryside.

Licensed bar supported by and featuring ales and snacks from our own award winning Uley Brewery. Bar closes at 22.30.

The performance will take place in the open air. Bring your own chair or rug to sit on and a picnic if you need more than just bar snacks.

The evening kicks off with the opportunity to join in some field games followed by an Open Mic slot. The 50 strong Fantasy Orchestra will be performing at their kaleidoscopic best from 19.30.

Join Bristol’s own polyphonic, kaleidoscopic, and ever-so-slightly-chaotic Fantasy Orchestra as they celebrate the songwriting genius of Kate Bush and other iconic female singer-songwriters.

The night will include hits and deep cuts from the incomparable Kate Bush catalogue alongside songs by other trailblazers such as Joni Mitchell, Björk, PJ Harvey and more, all expanded in unique arrangements for a 50+ strong orchestra and choir! As regular fans of The Fantasy Orchestra will attest, each performance of theirs is truly unique, and as they turn their hand to Bush’s music for the first time this is surely an evening not to be missed!

The Fantasy Orchestra return to Lantern Hall with a glitter-soaked celebration of David Bowie.

Marking ten years since his passing and coinciding with the opening of the V&A’s landmark Bowie collection – the Orchestra dive deep into the restless creativity that shaped his music, fashion and myth-making.

You’ll hear favourites from every era alongside a few cult treasures from the far corners of his catalogue, all delivered by a stage full of musicians decked out in their finest Bowie-inspired looks. Audiences are warmly invited to dress up and join the spectacle – because Bowie was never just something you listened to, he was something you became.
